What You’ll Accomplish
Our Project Management Team within the Marketing team at Wellness Pet is made up of professionals who understand the difference our products make in the lives of pets. We are seeking to add a Project Manager to our pack! The Project Manager will report to the Senior Project Manager, based out of our Burlington, Massachusetts headquarters location. This individual will lead cross-functional teams comprised of team members from across the globe. The key measure of success for this individual will be delivering product development projects on time and on budget.
This position is based out of our Burlington, MA headquarters location, where we work a required hybrid schedule of in-office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays and remote on Wednesdays and Fridays.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Lead project teams through the stage gate process, ensuring alignment with product development and commercialization
- Build interpersonal relationships, guide and coach individuals and teams through project kick-off through completion
- Create and maintain the project schedule through definition and tracking of key project milestones
- Set expectations for team members, holding members accountable and always leading by example
- Quickly gain proficiency in understanding technical information related to individual projects while simultaneously ensuring progression of projects
- Participate in various meetings related to the stage gate process, including but not limited to product change and New Product Development (NPD) meetings
- Manage communications across the cross-functional project team
- Provide consistent updates to key project stakeholders
- Manage project scope with internal customers
- Assess, manage, and mitigate project risk, including ownership of escalations when appropriate
- Track and facilitate the resolution of cross-functional team issues
- Define and track project deliverables through review while driving accountability
- Create and maintain schedules for Product Change Requests (PCRs)
- Maintain regular biweekly communication of PCRs & ensure timely reporting & milestone updates
- Participate in program management discussions to share data/key learnings with peers and provide feedback into the Product Delivery process for continuous improvement
- Provide process improvement suggestions with regards to project status reporting for new product development

- Build and grow business relationships and continually develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Wellness Pet’s overall business to drive clarity on project needs and priorities
- Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management in partnership with the Project Management team.
- Prepare for stage gate reviews and apply quality assurance procedures
- Lead any additional projects as needed

We are seeking a Project Manager with experience leading cross-functional projects. Individuals should have proven success bringing consumer products to commercialization. Successful candidates will also possess:
- A BA/BS or equivalent experience
- Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) environment required
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience leading cross-functional projects in a product delivery environment
- Experience with the stage gate process & product lifecycle activities
- Possesses general management skills such as leadership, negotiation, communication, ability to motivate, ability to influence and team building
- Detail-oriented
- Able to influence others to achieve goals
- Top-notch verbal and written communication skills; direct communication style
- Able to hold staff accountable with grace
- Able to manage across multiple projects at various stages and drive them to completion simultaneously
- Knowledge of and experience with a project management tools and practices preferred
- Provide vision, direction, sound judgement, issue and conflict resolution, and effective decision making
